Belterra is proud to be the home of Rooster Springs Elementary. As the first neighborhood school in the district, Rooster Springs is home to nearly 800 students from Pre-K through the fifth grade. DSISD is recognized for district excellence in academic and extra-curricular competitions. Belterra sixth through eighth grade students attend a brand-new middle school just minutes away from the community. Sycamore Springs Middle School, located on Sawyer Ranch Road south of Belterra Drive, is the second middle school to open in the district. It will educate 850 students with the capacity to expand to 1,200 students as Dripping Springs and Belterra continue to draw more and more families to the area.

Dripping Springs High School is the only high school serving the students in the district. With an enrollment of approximately 1,875 for students in grades ninth through twelfth, Dripping Springs HS offers a variety of courses to meet the needs and interests of their students. The primary purpose is college preparation and advance academic studies.
